FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Services included in-house and free of charge:
- 24 hour nursing care
- Visiting Clergy
- Personal laundry service (excluding items that carry sentimental and financial value)
- Visiting GP – Free of Charge to Medical Card Holders
- Medication Management (Medication observation available to day care clients)
- Medical Appointment Management
- Sugar/Glucose Monitoring, Weight Monitoring, Bp Monitoring
- Optician – Eye care, Eyesight tests and provision of spectacles if required.
- Chiropodist - Chiropody visits are covered by the Medical card but we have been informed that the Chiropodist charges a small fee to a resident to visit the nursing home. This arrangement is between the Chiropodist and the Resident.
Activities included in-house and free of charge:
- Hand Manicure and pampering
- Bingo & Musical Bingo with prizes (scratch cards, hairdresser vouchers)
- Card games
- Gentle Exercise fun and physical fitness
- Arts & crafts
- Individual Birthday Celebrations
- Various holiday Celebrations – Christmas, Easter, St Patrick’s Day etc
- Banjo Pat & Serendipity Theatre Group – Musical entertainment
- Library visits
- Book club and DVD club
- Board games available for all residents to borrow
- E mail (send and receive messages to family members and friends on the computer
- Newspaper discussions
- Plant and seed sewing
- Prayer and Rosary Devotions
- Photography sessions for album compiling
Other activities/services/expenses that are provided at an extra charge:
- Hairdresser
- Trips and tours to community events (small fee – usually 20% of cost)
- Outings for morning Tea/ afternoon coffee/ cinema trips etc
- Specialist Dry Cleaning Service
- Items purchased on your behalf via the in house shopping service
- Daily personal newspapers
- Taxis to appointments
- Accompaniment of staff members to appointments (if available)
Medical items not covered by a Medical Card:
- Physiotherapist
- Dentist
- Occupational Therapist
- Dietician
- Speech & Language
*Please note that these apply to privately sought appointments and can be organised by the nursing home with a service provider of your choice or we can recommend a provider to you. The Nursing home has no control over the fees that are charged and residents have the option of paying the service provider directly or paying the nursing home when being invoiced for accommodation/extras. (HSE public appointments may have a lengthy waiting list but are free of charge to all medical card holders).

The Staff Nurses are, of course, all registered with ABA and deliver individually and collectively a solid package of health care management.Read more
Accommodation
We accommodate 26 long stay residents with 20 single rooms (9 en-suite and 11 standard rooms), and 3 double rooms (all double rooms are en-suite).Our day care centre can facilitate up to 10 visiting day care clients.

Tariff & Charges
We accept private admissions, HSE subvention payments and Fair Deal payments also and provide all necessary invoices and receipts to allow claims against MED1 form.We also accept payment from all major health insurers.
